How can guided video practices help me?
If you’re waiting for 1x1 therapy, only have a certain number of sessions covered by insurance, or have a limited budget to invest in therapy, then these guided videos can help you.
If you’re like most clients, you need time to :
learn how to recognize how you’re feeling
learn how to stay present when you’re feeling those distressing sensations in your body
learn how to cope with those distressing feelings
learn how to move beyond your distress
These guided videos offer effective, clinical interventions like TCTSY & EMDR while you’re waiting for therapy so you’re ready to start the “heavy lifting” of therapy once you start 1x1 sessions with your therapist. These videos are also beneficial when you’re in therapy so you can speed up your healing journey.
Emodiment Practices
This course includes 6 Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) practices that focus on inviting you to notice the felt sense of your own body to inform if/how you decide to move through the modified hatha yoga forms. The videos are guided by Julie Long and vary in length from 6-20 minutes. Feel free to practice them all in sequence or you're welcome to practice whatever video you prefer.
EMDR Practices
These practices activate and enhance your body's natural healing process, helping you to feel more grounded, confident and capable in your life. The videos are guided by Julie Long and vary in length from 7-24 minutes. Feel free to practice them all in sequence or you're welcome to practice whatever video you need.
Coaching Practices
These practices empower you to move through the stages of change to connect with and step into your authentic self. The videos are guided by Julie Long and vary in length from 9-27 minutes. Feel free to practice them all in sequence or you're welcome to practice whatever video you prefer based on your needs.
